About Stephen D. Houston, M.D.

Dr. Houston specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer using Mohs Surgery, as well as the evaluation and removal of moles and other growths of the skin.

Dr. Houston is proud to be a native Austinite, a graduate of the University of Texas, and a Board-Certified Dermatologist. After graduating from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, Dr. Houston completed his specialty training in Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and opened Southwest Skin & Cancer Clinic in Austin in 1977.

Dr. Houston has been married to his wife Dixie since 1984 and is the proud father of three grown children and the grandfather to the remarkable little Willa Mae. An award-winning photographer, Dr. Houston also displays many of his photographs throughout the clinic.
